We are a family of travel&food&wine enthusiasts, lucky enough to have lived in both the Northern and Southern Hemishperes and to have traveled a lot in between. Former broadcasting news journalists, media executives and communication professionals, we moved from Romania to New Zealand years ago – a once in a lifetime opportunity to take the best of two completelly different cultures.

We left the busy media scene in the Northern Hemisphere to find a more relaxed lifestyle, further away from our home country, on this unique and stunning South Pacific island called New Zealand. We are currently property managers of our own investment in executive accommodation. In 2015 we found an opportunity to fulfill the universal cliché dream of “having a small family restaurant on the beach on a
remote island” and bought a cafe/restaurant which became “The Option Bistro and Wines”. Well, a bit further from the beach, in a sunny corner of a quiet and green neighbourhood in Christchurch, the biggest
city of the South Island.
We fell in love with the beauty of this island while traveling in a motorhome every summer in the past seven years. We discovered that driving a motorhome is the best way to enjoy everything that New Zealand has to offer, from the stunning nature to the thrilling extreme sports. A motorhome gives you the freedom to move around at your own pace and enjoy the comfort of a luxury accommodation.
Through Travelogy, we share our knowledge, experiences and values. Our guests are not “customers”, they are our friends. In our culture, hospitality is all about making our guests feeling like home. In our restaurant, we treat our guests as if they come in our
home. In our properties, we make sure our guests feel like home. We created Travelogy as a boutique small tourism operation in order to give you all our attention and the best of everything. Travelogy will treat you like royals and this is why it “makes you richer”.
